Port Douglas Carnivale is the most prominent annual community celebration within the Douglas region.   Port Douglas Carnivale is a Not-for-Profit organization committed to the local business region.

Port Douglas Carnivale acts as an umbrella which works with internal and external event producers collaborating  various strands of events including food and wine, music, arts, culture, design and ecology.

The key objectives in producing this successful event are

• Destination Marketing as one of Australia’s most internationally and nationally recognised tropical escape destination leveraging on the branding of Carninvale and increasing its profile
• Community Celebration as the wet season concludes and an opportunity for the Douglas region community to celebrate its tropical character as the tourist season and hard work commences
• Business Promotion- it has always been an objective to increase numbers at the commencement of the tourist season.  The main driver of our tourist industry is the southern winter months and a strong start to the season with the hosting of Carnivale benefits our accommodation, restaurants and retail businesses.

Carnivale would not be able to exist without substantial financial support from existing and potential partners.
