Port Douglas, 20th March, 2023 – Tickets to Port Douglas Carnivale’s tastiest event, The Longest Lunch, are now on sale.
The Longest Lunch is one of the most anticipated and exclusive events of Port Douglas Carnivale with numbers capped to just 200 diners, who feast on a sumptuous dining experience provided by Port Douglas’ culinary best.
The Longest Lunch is hosted by Port Douglas’s restaurant group The Local Collective.
Members Salsa Bar & Grill, Zinc, La Cucina and Kai are serving the four-course menu, which features dishes such as smoked waygu beef, salmon tataki, banana leaf baked Daintree saltwater barramundi and maple roasted pumpkin pie with a pecan crumble.
The dining will be complemented by a local beverage offering from Hemingway’s Brewery and Devil’s Thumb Distillery.
Live music will also play during the event, with dancing to follow. The Longest Lunch will be hosted along the boardwalk of the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina, returning to its original home from nearly 30 years ago.
Roman Haslinger, head of hospitality at Hemingway’s Brewery, said the return to the boardwalk will be a trip down memory lane for those long-time attendees.
“This is a premium event that promises to exceed your expectations. It is also going to look extraordinary with the long tables under the marquee beside this wonderful heritage building, looking out over the marina and boats,” he said.
Following the success of 2022, the event will also be an important fundraiser for FNQ Hospital Foundation’s Mossman Hospital with organisers hoping to surpass last year’s result of more than $70,000 raised.
There will be an auction during the event with exclusive hampers and experiences on offer. A portion of each ticket sale will also be donated directly back to the charity.
